At Darbyshire we understand it is of paramount importance for a frame to protect your artwork not only from pollution and dust but also from the damaging effects of heat, light, and humidity. Our highly skilled team includes one fully trained conservator. We appreciate the importance when working with original artworks to use conservation grade materials that are stable, archival and reversible, where possible.

At Darbyshire we use conservation board and materials. We employ various mounting techniques depending the requirements of each individual piece. We always use fillets - preventing the artwork from touching the glazing and where the brief demands, use archival hinges that allow the work to ‘hang free’. Our team also employs many types of glazing material, from museum glass to perspex, carefully selected to meet client needs.
