The inaugural Darbyshire Award exhibition held in the Museum in the Park, Stroud was drawn from an open submission of local and national artists by a panel consisting of Jean Boyd, Gavin McClaffety and Mark Darbyshire. Jean Boyd lectures in  critical theory at Cheltenham college whilst Gavin McClaffety is a practising artist in Stroud.  

From the shortlist exhibition the panel choose Aimee Lax as the winner.
