In 2009 Darbyshire's were delighted to welcome Tom Trevor as selector of this years award. Tom is director of the Arnolfoni Gallery in Bristol, one of the country's premier exhibition spaces.

Tom's knowledge and experience of current art thinking brought a new perspective to the Award and has set a bench mark for future shows. This year's winner was Alice Forward, her Darbyshire Award exhibition will be at the SVA Galleries.

BEE LINES is a show of new sculpture, drawing and video which, according to the artist “is a series of ongoing explorations around the ambivalences in our relationship with the natural world, and about ideas of territory.”
