I came to framing through art. It all began in a studio complex we set up in east London as a group of artists leaving Goldsmiths' college in the late 1980's. We held a series of open studios and some of us began exhibiting in the few galleries around in the 80's willing to show contemporary art. I was framing my own work along with friends and soon found myself with requests for framing. New galleries were setting up in London and there were many artist led exhibitions in disused buildings across London. At the time we didn't know London would become such a focus for new and emerging art.
All the time my job brings me into contact with really great art some of which I have managed to collect over the years. It is my hope that this section of the website may inspire you to do as I have, seek out art and begin collecting yourself.
