The Principle of Moments

Known for works that meditate on notions of time, landscape and travel, as well as political and historical memory. Almond brings these themes together in a series of time-lapse photographs taken in the Faroe Islands.

Almond has worked with Darbyshire for years from the early days of ‘Tuesday 1440 minutes’ in 1996.

He was the youngest artist to exhibit in Sensation (1997-1999) and ‘Apocalypse’ which both took place at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Darren Almond shows at the White Cube.
