Darbyshire was asked to frame some of Derek Jarman’s ‘Tar Paintings’, which he made whilst living in Dungeness.

We made large, deep mahogany box frames. The collages were float mounted onto conservation backing board and museum glass was selected for its transparency and low reflective quality. The resulting deep-set frames offered an appropriate visual key for these dense, complex works.
