Darbyshire has been working with Tracey Emin for many years, constructing a vaste range of display solutions from large frames to tiny personal perspex boxes. Emin works in drawing, mono printing, installation, painting, filmmaking, neon, photography, appliquéd pieces and sculpture.
The work exhibited in her 2005 exhibition ‘When I think about Sex ….’ was both catastrophic and witty. She makes confrontational, provocative and personal works which draw upon her own experience in a disarmingly frank way.
Emin studied for her MA at the Royal College of Art. Short-listed for the Turner Prize in 1999, Emin has exhibited widely both here and abroad. She shows with White Cube.
