Perspex cases for Sandra Shashou

Date:

Perspex cases with Aluminium base and Aluminium tray frame.

Darbyshire have had the pleasure of working with artist Sandra Shashou to frame her latest body of work ‘Broken’, the sculptures, which are carefully assembled from thousands of fragments of bone china, are highly captivating and visceral, and explore themes found in her other works…

“I embrace vulnerability and fragility. In truth that is how we reveal ourselves and really connect.”

To house these artworks we opted to use an aluminium tray frame to support an extra thick perspex case which protects the artwork.  The case is fabricated by highly skilled technicians, and this example is a testament to how crystal clear the joins and corners are in our plexi and optium covers.
